Common cartridge heater type and installation method

Cartridge heater is widely used in industrial production. It can be used to heat solids, liquids and gases. It is suitable for punching and inserting heating of molds, castings and mechanical equipment; water tank, oil drum, solution tank heating; air dry burning. The installation and fixing of the heating pipe during use is an indispensable part, and effective fixing can make it work more stably.

Poor installation of the cartridge heater can lead to bending of the heating tube, unstable operation, uneven temperature, displacement, resulting in production safety hazards.

1. The Cartridge heater several common shapes:

1)Common straight rod type, right angle L type, Z type and other special shapes without any fasteners and baffles;

2)Threaded, welding thread on the cartridge heater;

3)Limit block type, welding limit stop on the heating pipe body.

2. The cartridge heater installation method:

1)The common shape is used to directly insert into the hole of the mold and mechanical equipment when the mold is heated, and it is convenient to insert and remove a few centimeters of non-heating area outside the hole;

2)Threaded screwing installation, the requirements for punching are more stringent, not only the diameter of the pipe but also the threaded hole;

3)The limit stop usually has two mounting holes on the left and right, and the corresponding holes on the mold are fixed by bolts.

If the opening of the mold hole is too large, the electric heating tube has been purchased without waste, and the gap portion may be filled with an insulating and heat conductive material such as magnesium oxide or quartz sand, which is filled while being knocked, and the final end needs to be sealed with glue because the filler has Hygroscopicity, the contact with air will absorb too much water and will expand. The disadvantage is that it is troublesome to replace and clean up later. It is also recommended that the pipe diameter and the hole diameter be as close as possible to facilitate long-term use in the future .
