Description:
This is a temperature sensor based on DS18B20 chip, with waterproof probe and long wire shape, which is very suitable for immersion temperature detection or DS18B20 provides 9 to 12 bits (configurable) to obtain temperature reading through 1-wire interface, so only one wire (and ground wire) is required to connect from the central microprocessor.
The original included three wires, which we adjusted to a 3-pin connector, so you can simply use it with other adapters. (no welding required)
Overview:
The temperature sensor module is a metal tube thermometer with DS18B20 detector. It has strong anti-interference ability and high precision, and is covered by waterproof rubber hose. It can measure the temperature in the range of – 55 ℃ ~ + 125 ℃. It is possible to connect to the RJ25 adapter module and then to the make block Orion temperature measurement.
Please note that when the sensor temperature is up to 125 ° C, the sheath PVC is easily damaged, so we recommend keeping it below 100 ° C.

Principle analysis
The temperature sensor module has the main component DS18B20, with miniaturization, low power consumption, high performance, strong anti-interference ability and easy matching with microprocessor. DS18B20 adopts a unique single bus port mode, which is only connected with microprocessor through bus to realize two-way communication between microprocessor and DS18B20.
The module supports multi-point networking function, so multiple DS18B20 can be connected in parallel on only three lines for multipoint temperature measurement, and the measurement results are sent in 9-12 bit serial digital mode. When communicating with a single-chip computer, you can set the resolution by configuring registers.
